A Carnoisseur store has three profit centres: These are Special Orders, Core Stock and Services.
Special Orders
Carnoisseur franchisees are able to sell an enormous range of specialist car accessories. This extensive range is showcased in the annual Carnoisseur Catalogue. Unfortunately it is not possible to stock every part for every car, so more often than not if a customer wishes to purchase an exhaust, an air filter, etc. you will have to place an order with the supplier. Ordering goods couldn't be easier. You decide what you want or need, write it on a fax stating an order number with your personal prefix, and fax it directly to the supplier. Your Carnoisseur Information File contains a directory of all supplier contact details so you will always know who you are dealing with. The goods are then dispatched directly to your store, usually with 48 hours, with an itemised delivery note for your reference.
Core Stock
New stores are initially merchandised by Carnoisseur Head Office. Franchisees are supplied with a core stock range of the best selling stock items such as car care, audio, wheel fittings, windscreen wipers, bulbs, etc.
It is then the franchisee's responsibility to maintain these levels of merchandising with on-going weekly/daily stock deliveries. Carnoisseur’s stock re-ordering systems ensure that franchisees are able to manage their stock effectively.
Services
It is important that Carnoisseur stores offer their customers a complete service. When selling car accessories customers expect some fitting facilities to be available such as window tinting, alloy wheel refurbishment, audio fitting, etc. Several Carnoisseur stores have fitting facilities on-site, others build up relationships with other local businesses in order to offer their customers the required services.
